Histoire du canton
- Le canton de Plonéour-Lanvern a été créé en mars 2015, suite au découpage territorial du département du Finistère (Source : Legifrance).
- Lors de sa création en 2015, le nouveau canton de Plonéour-Lanvern comprend 16 communes.
- Le canton de Plonéour-Lanvern est formé de communes en provenance de l'ancien canton de Plogastel-Saint-Germain (10 communes) et du Pont-l'Abbé (6 communes).
