  • Le canton de Lesneven a été modifié en mars 2015, suite au découpage territorial du département du Finistère (Source : Legifrance).
  • Lors de sa modification en 2015, le nouveau canton de Lesneven comprend 18 communes
  • Le canton de Lesneven est formé de communes en provenance de l'ancien canton de Lesneven (13 communes) ; Lannilis (3 communes) et de Plabennec (2 communes).
  • Le 1 janvier 2017, les communes de Brignogan-Plages et de Plounéour-Trez fusionnent. Ces communes donnent naissance à la commune de Plounéour-Brignogan-plages qui prend le statut administratif de commune nouvelle [1] . Son chef-lieu se situe à Brignogan-Plages . Les communes deviennent des communes déléguées.
